Accepting Online Applications saves your applicants and your staff resources and time. And, with Scholarship Lifecycle Manager (SLM), you can easily make changes or quickly spin up new applications, without calling us for a cost or time estimate. Your application process is in your hands.
Create scholarship specific application questions, while simplifying the process for your applicants. By allowing (for example) one scholarship to require two essay questions and another to require a recommendation from a coach, while also incorporating common questions across multiple forms, your applicants can take advantage of the Copy Request functionality to save time when applying for multiple scholarships, without losing your ability to capture information your donor requires.
Finally, Online Applications make it easy to ensure required questions are submitted, and in the format you need.
Create an online Eligibility Quiz to help ensure applicants apply to only the scholarships they are eligible for.
Students will no longer have to read through a long list of scholarship criteria to determine which is best suited to their needs and qualifications. The Eligibility Quiz will help condense a double (and sometimes triple) digit list of scholarships into a list of only those that are a match for them.
Not only will the Eligibility Quiz save applicants time finding the correct applications, it will also save staff time. You will know applicants are pre-qualified for the scholarships they are applying for based on the eligibility rules set by staff in our easy to use rule builder. Rules can be set in an AND or OR function to be as specific or as broad as your donor’s requirements specify.
Some information needed on scholarship applications doesn’t come from the applicant; you may require anonymous letters of recommendation, or transcripts to be uploaded by a school counselor. The Third-Party Recommendations functionality addresses this need. Allowing applicants to request information in any required format from a third party puts the responsibility on the applicant, while keeping it easy to manage for staff. The information is automatically attached to the correct application for Administrative and Committee review, while reminders to in-draft third parties are automatically generated.
Some of your third parties, specifically counselors, may be managing documentation for multiple applicants to multiple scholarships. The Third Party Recommendations dashboard offers a single location for this already busy person to easily keep track of submitted and in-draft recommendations.
While not every board member or review committee member will want to move online, the ones who are willing will thank you for freeing them from the constraints of paper board books.
No more heavy binders to haul. No more losing information or not being able to locate it quickly and easily. With Online Reviews, everything is where it needs to be and accessible via a computer, tablet, or even their phone.
Through Online Reviews you will also be able to hide details you don’t want reviewers to see. Staff can choose the applicant questions reviewers can and cannot see, in order to capture things such as demographic information for aggregate purposes without risking any bias or impropriety.
Not only can you choose the information shown to reviewers, you can also decide which information you want to gather from them – everything from scoring questions, comments, and conflict of interest statements can be gathered in the review stage.
Staff can quickly check the status of reviews to see how they are progressing. They can also communicate directly within the application via a comment area that only administrators and reviewers can see.
Finally, your review meetings will take less time, while accomplishing more. When most of your team has read the requests and done some preliminary scoring, it frees your time to talk specifics rather than having to spend time reviewing each request before discussing its merits.
But, if your review committee is just not ready to move online, resources such as print packets and merge documents make it easy for staff to provide information in a customizable, easy-to-read format outside of the system.
Online Scholarship Acceptance & Renewal
Process-specific Follow Up forms allow you to require everything you may need a recipient to do after acceptance:
Do you want the student to submit a thank you letter to a donor? You can set that as a follow up. Do students need to accept their award and provide verification of enrollment? Creating a follow up makes this a requirement from the moment the recipient is selected, allowing them to receive automated notifications regarding upcoming or past due documentation. Not only are these available for the recipient to submit online, but they are easy for staff to track as they are received or become past due.
Renewable scholarships can also be managed through follow ups and reminders, as well as be tied to further payment commitments from the funder.
Reporting & Analytics
Throughout the scholarship lifecycle, data is collected from different parties, applicants, third parties, reviewers, and staff. Imagine having access to all this information to tell the story to your stakeholders.
With SLM, all data is in one place where you can now slice and dice it any way necessary. Whether it’s by donor year over year, or ranking evaluation information you can not only sort, group, and aggregate, but also create visuals. Wouldn’t you like to be able to notify all stakeholders with the information they want through unlimited report creating?
You have complete control of your reports without needing a computer science degree. With a little time, anyone can learn to create reports to evaluate, analyze, and summarize your data.
